Tom holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member of the CFA Institute. Earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting from Saint Michaels College.
Worked for State Street Corporation for 4.5 years in the Securities Lending division. Most notably responsible for building out the Repurchase Agreement (Repo) Trading platform and business within the Alternative Financing Solutions (AFS) group.
Writes part-time for Investorplace.com and manages his investments full time. Passionate about equity fundamental research, technical analysis and identifying thematic trends.
Once considered a long term investor, Tom has taken a serious interest in "swing" trading. Through his studies of famed traders, Mark Minervini and William O'Brien, Tom uses a mix of technical and fundamental analysis to capture short-to medium-term gains in stocks and other financial assets.
